Virtual Feeding Support Services

As a Certified Lactation Counselor (CLC), I provide evidence-based education and support for normal lactation. If complex feeding challenges arise, I collaborate with and refer to IBCLCs and pediatric providers as needed.

    I offer a free email support service and I highly encourage you to email me if you have general questions that don’t need immediate, face-to-face answers to. I will respond within 3-5 days.

    My support doesn’t have to end at our visits. I am here for you.

Birth Services

As your doula I encourage you to seek a birth team and create a birth plan that is compatible with your needs and values. I can provide emotional, physical, and educational support during your pregnancy, birth and postpartum period.

    Our comprehensive labor doula package contains everything you need to have the birth you desire. This package includes a free initial consultation, 3 prenatal visits, email and phone availability, in-person labor and birth support, a postpartum visit, and access to a highly desired birth course.

    An additional postpartum doula consult helps you navigate worries or lactation difficulties after you deliver. This visit can cover difficulties such as latch issues, milk supply concerns, nipple pain, breast pain, pumping concerns, etc. During this time, we will work together to develop a plan to help you succeed on your feeding journey.

Meet Amy, Founder of Good and Beautiful Birth & Lactation, LLC

Hi, I’m Amy! I’m a mom of four children and two pups, a registered nurse, and the heart behind Good and Beautiful Birth & Lactation. While our home base is in Franklin County, Missouri, my family occasionally travels for my husband’s work—at the moment, we’re soaking up life in Iowa.

I spent over five years working as a registered nurse on a postpartum unit in the nursery, where I supported countless breastfeeding dyads during some of their most tender early days. I also bring personal experience to my work: I exclusively breastfed my triplets and am currently still breastfeeding my three-year-old son (with no end in sight—cue the nervous laugh).

I am a Certified Breastfeeding Specialist (CBS) through Lactation Education Resources and am actively completing clinical hours to apply for the IBCLC exam, the highest credential in the lactation field. Alongside this, I am a certified doula through Pain Free Birth. Turning my passion for physiological birth and lactation into a career is something I prayed over for years—and while the “yes” took time, it was absolutely worth the wait.

When I’m not supporting families, you’ll find me enjoying the outdoors with my crew—camping (now upgraded to glamping thanks to our camper), boating on nearby lakes, or tending to my garden, even if my green thumb isn’t always cooperating. I homeschool my children and love watching them grow, learn, and become who they’re meant to be. I also cherish quiet evenings with my husband of 10 years, playing cards or Scrabble, or diving into meaningful conversation over a glass of wine.

Motherhood is both beautiful and challenging, and no one should have to walk it feeling unsupported. My hope is to be the support I once needed—to help prevent heartache and sleepless nights, to remind you of your strength, and to help you see just how powerful your body truly is. Above all, I pray you know your worth and feel deeply loved by God.
